Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How much will my keepsake box or birdhouse replica cost?
A: The price of our replicas varies depending upon the complexity and intricate nature of the structure's architecture and design, and the amount of material required to complete the project. Prices can range from $500 for a fairly simple structure to over $2,000 for large, complex, intricate structures such as mansions, churches, synagogues, temples, college or university buildings, etc. You will be given a firm price before construction begins.
Q: How long does it usually take to complete a keepsake box or birdhouse replica?
A: Since both our keepsake boxes and our birdhouse replicas are extremely detailed and custom made one at a time, it can take anywhere from three to eight weeks to complete a replica after production begins. Keepsake box replicas usually take longer to finish since they are more complex in nature. Also, replicas are constructed by the date the order is received. We will do our best to give you an approximate delivery date at the time of your order.
Q: How will my replica be shipped?
A. We use a well-known long distance carrier. Your replica will be professionally packed and shipped.
Q: Is shipping included in the cost?
A: No. We will provide an estimate of shipping costs at the time you place your order.
Q: Does my replica have to be made into a keepsake box or birdhouse?
A: No. If you prefer, we can make your replica without bird entrances or keepsake box compartments. Some of our clients prefer a non-functioning replica and intend to simply display their replica model as an accent piece or focal point in a special room.
Q: What if I am not satisfied with my replica?
A: If you are not completely satisfied with your Maxinkuckee Replica keepsake box or birdhouse, simply return it to us for a full refund of the purchase price (excluding shipping).
Q: If I want my replica to be a functional birdhouse, is mounting hardware included?
A: No. If you plan to use your birdhouse replica outdoors, you can easily purchase the necessary mounting hardware at your local building supply or hardware store. We recommend that you use a threaded iron flange and 1 ½ inch threaded iron pipe. You simply attach the flange with screws to the underside of the birdhouse and then screw the birdhouse on to the threaded pipe.
